Join our 1x per-month virtual parent support group, starting November 5th at 6 PM. This eight-month program runs from November to June, providing a consistent space for parents to find connections, share experiences, and receive support.

Meet Sheila Morris, MHC, SAC
Sheila is a dedicated and passionate clinician who wholeheartedly believes in guiding individuals towards achieving personal growth and empowerment. Drawing from a rich tapestry of life experiences and extensive education, she has discovered a profound sense of purpose in helping her clients become the best versions of themselves.
Rejecting the notion of a 'one size fits all' approach to therapy, Sheila adopts a humanistic and client-centered method that prioritizes individual perspectives and unique needs. With a notable career spanning 17 years in public school and alternative special education environments, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her practice. Additionally, her 5 years of experience as a clinician encompasses a diverse range of therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavior therapy, creative therapy, reality therapy, and mindfulness principles.
Sheila holds a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Cambridge College and is on the cusp of obtaining her License in Mental Health Counseling. Her areas of specialization include autism, depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse. Her exceptional skill set enables her to effectively engage with neurodivergent children and teenagers, as well as neurotypical clients spanning all age groups.

Amber is a dedicated teacher who believes everyone has something valuable to offer their community and that all children can achieve their full potential. She focuses on giving her students personalized learning opportunities that help them become independent. Amber equips parents with knowledge for informed decisions about their children's education, collaborating with a diverse team to advocate in educational settings. With expertise in Special Education procedures, IEPs, 504 Plans, and transition services, she is a valuable ally for parents. Amber has a Master's in Special Education and dual Bachelor's degrees in Child Psychology and Early Childhood Education. She is certified to work with neurodivergent students aged three to twenty-one and neurotypical students aged one to eight. Currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership focused on policy and practices, Amber is launching the Especially Educated Parenting Program to help parents navigate special education and foster home-school partnerships.

New Youth Emotional Support Group at Golden Hour Counseling
Golden Hour Counseling is thrilled to announce the launch of a Youth Emotional Support Group for children ages 6-11! This group is designed to help young participants build emotional awareness, resilience, and mindfulness skills in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Yoga for a Cause- Hurricane Milton Relief Fundraiser
Join Us for a Special Yoga Series to Support Hurricane Relief!
We are excited to announce six 1-hour long yoga classes in our Community Room, dedicated to raising funds for the American Red Cross in response to Hurricanes Milton and Helene. In collaboration with RISEilience, Amesbury 100% of the proceeds from these classes will go directly to aid efforts.

Proper Gear: Wear layers & (wool-based) waterproof clothing. Please refrain from wearing cotton clothing. You will receive an in-depth list catered to this specific day and mountain to your booking email before this event at least one week in advance.
Food & Drink: Although hydration and light snacks will be offered, hikers are required to bring their own food & drink to enjoy during their hike.

Each individual class is billed at 38.50$ per meeting. Clients are welcome to access more mental health related support through Golden Hour Counseling, PLLC for each indivudial session moving forward. Please note that GHC is enrolloning for clients who are willing to meet this 10 week commitment. This event is made for general community members to access at any given time or location.
